Chimney and fireplace cleaning

Creosote and soot build up every time you burn. Left alone, they restrict your draft, cause smoky smells and raise the risk of a chimney fire. We remove the buildup from your firebox, damper, smoke chamber and flue so your fireplace burns the way it should.

Chimney and fireplace inspection

An inspection finds small problems before they turn into expensive ones. We look at seven key points from the cap to the firebox, then explain what we see in plain English.

Chimney and fireplace repair

Water, animals and heat damage shorten the life of a chimney. When an inspection turns up a problem, we tell you how urgent it is, give you the options, and only do the work you approve.

Specific services

Specific chimney services

The repair and cleaning work behind the three services above. Each page explains what the job involves.

Chimney cap installation

A cap that fits keeps rain, animals and debris out and sparks in.

Chimney crown repair

We seal or rebuild the slab that sheds water off the top of the chimney.

Chimney relining

A sound liner keeps heat away from your home and smoke gases out of the brick.

Chimney masonry repair

Cracked, flaking or loose brick repaired before water makes it worse.

Tuckpointing

Worn mortar between the bricks replaced so the joints seal again.

Smoke chamber parging

A smooth coat over the rough smoke chamber so smoke moves up cleanly.

Chimney and firebox rebuild

When patching is not enough, we rebuild the damaged part.

Chemical chimney cleaning

For glazed creosote that a brush alone will not remove.

Chimney service FAQ

Not sure which service you need? Call us and we will point you in the right direction.

Creosote is a tar-like residue that wood smoke leaves inside your flue. It builds up over time, restricts your draft and can ignite, which is why regular cleaning matters.

We check the flue, damper, crown, cap and firebox for damage, blockages and buildup, then walk you through what we found and what, if anything, should be done.

We install chimney caps, maintain and repair crowns, rebuild and repair masonry, tuckpoint, parge and reline chimneys. You approve any repair before we start.
