Chimney and fireplace cleaning
Creosote and soot build up every time you burn. Left alone, they restrict your draft, cause smoky smells and raise the risk of a chimney fire. We remove the buildup from your firebox, damper, smoke chamber and flue so your fireplace burns the way it should.
- Floors and hearth protected before we start
- Firebox, damper and flue brushed clean
- Nests, leaves and debris cleared out
- A quick walk-through of what we found

Chimney and fireplace inspection
An inspection finds small problems before they turn into expensive ones. We look at seven key points from the cap to the firebox, then explain what we see in plain English.
- 1. Chimney capKeeps rain, animals and debris out of the flue.
- 2. CrownThe slab on top that sheds water away from the masonry.
- 3. Flue linerCarries smoke out. We check it for cracks and buildup.
- 4. Masonry and flashingBricks, mortar and the seal where the chimney meets the roof.
- 5. Smoke chamberThe sloped area above the damper where soot collects.
- 6. DamperWe make sure it opens, closes and seals properly.
- 7. FireboxWhere the fire burns. We look for cracked brick and worn mortar.

Service questions
Chimney service FAQ
Not sure which service you need? Call us and we will point you in the right direction.
What is creosote and why does it matter?
Creosote is a tar-like residue that wood smoke leaves inside your flue. It builds up over time, restricts your draft and can ignite, which is why regular cleaning matters.
What happens during a chimney inspection?
We check the flue, damper, crown, cap and firebox for damage, blockages and buildup, then walk you through what we found and what, if anything, should be done.
What chimney repairs do you offer?
We install chimney caps, maintain and repair crowns, rebuild and repair masonry, tuckpoint, parge and reline chimneys. You approve any repair before we start.
